Goodnight Records

Heaven / Adam Franklin & Bolt of Melody Split 7"

Starting at: $5.99

This is a split 7" featuring the bands Heaven and Adam Franklin & Bolts of Melody.

This first pressing is on pink vinyl and is limited to 600 copies.

From 1990 to 1998 Adam Franklin was the singer, guitarist and main songwriter for London-based Swervedriver; contemporaries of and label mates with My Bloody Valentine and Ride but with a more adrenalized rock 'n' roll sound, showing flashes of Husker Du and Sonic Youth. Adam has released three full-length albums under his own name and has a fourth in the works. Swervedriver is currently on tour in the US with Heaven opening all dates.

Heaven is a new collaboration from New Yorkers Matt Sumrow (The Comas, Dean and Britta, Ambulance LTD), Mikey Jones (The Big Sleep, Adam Franklin, Snowden), and Ryan Lee Dunlap (Fan-Tan). Sumrow and Jones created Heaven in the wake of touring and recording with other artists. Last summer, they both worked with the aforementioned Adam Franklin, of Swervedriver fame.

In the most perfect combination, they have put their own stamp on psychedelia and new wave, giving a nod to the artists they have respected and played with, while also creating something modern and unique. They must be both seen and heard.

This is the second Heaven release on Goodnight Records. They are prepping their debut LP for a fall 2012 release.
